The Plaid Raccoon Press has been very pleased to offer our books for sale here on our very own website. Many customers have taken advantage of the opportunity to order their favourite titles and have them personally autographed by the author before being shipped to their doorstep.

Unfortunately, shipping costs have gone through the roof for us, as they have for all other small businesses trying to cope with the aftermath of the pandemic, the supply-side crisis, and all the other challenges we currently face as a society. We're looking at a situation right now where shipping basically doubles the price of our product, and we just don't think that's reasonable.

As a result, we've decided to suspend the operation of our webstore until such time as saner heads prevail and the cost of shipping a book comes back down to where our customers can afford it.

In the meantime, we encourage you to order our books online through Amazon, where it might be possible to pay less for shipping, or perhaps even nothing if you subscribe to Amazon Prime. Can you believe we're actually saying this? We can't, either, but in difficult times we must be adaptable and flexible, right?
